Description :

Extraordinary and highly collectible Frederick Hart acrylic resin sculpture titled Exaltation, one of the artist’s most iconic and spiritually powerful lucite works.

This breathtaking sculpture depicts a luminous female figure emerging upward from within a faceted crystal-like acrylic form. The dramatic upward gaze, flowing hair, and ethereal transparency create an almost transcendent visual effect — a signature hallmark of Frederick Hart’s revolutionary “sculpting with light” technique.

Masterfully cast in crystal-clear acrylic resin, the sculpture shifts dramatically depending on lighting and viewing angle, revealing extraordinary dimensional depth and lifelike detail. The interplay between the frosted internal figure and polished geometric exterior creates the illusion that the figure is suspended within solid light itself.

Artist:
Frederick Elliot Hart (American, 1943–1999)

Frederick Hart is considered one of the most influential American figurative sculptors of the 20th century. Internationally recognized for works including Ex Nihilo at the Washington National Cathedral, Hart pioneered patented techniques embedding sculptural imagery within transparent acrylic resin.

His sculptures are celebrated for merging classical realism with innovative materials to produce emotionally charged, museum-quality works that appear illuminated from within.

Hart’s acrylic works remain highly regarded for their technical complexity and innovative casting process, which allowed sculptural forms to exist simultaneously within and outside transparent geometric structures.
