Description :

Black Wood Console Table with Woven Rattan Lower Shelf

This console table features a clean, architectural silhouette with a painted black wood frame paired with a woven rattan lower shelf. The contrast between the solid structure and natural fiber adds texture and visual interest, making it a versatile piece for entryways, living rooms, hallways, or behind a sofa.

The long, narrow profile offers generous surface space without overwhelming a room, while the lower shelf provides functional storage or display for baskets, books, or decorative objects. Its understated design works well across mid-century, modern, transitional, and eclectic interiors.

Dimensions
Approximate measurements
Length: 60 inches
Depth: 16 inches
Height: 30 inches

Condition
Good vintage condition with minor and superficial scuffs consistent with age and use. Finish shows light wear in areas and would benefit from a thorough cleaning. For those wanting to go the extra mile, a light sanding and refinishing could further enhance the piece. Rattan shelf is intact and secure. Structure is solid and stable.

Historical Note
Furniture incorporating woven natural materials such as rattan gained popularity in mid-century interiors as designers blended modern forms with organic textures. Console tables like this were commonly used as functional accent pieces, balancing utility with clean-lined design.

Estimated Value
Approximately $250 to $450, depending on market, refinishing, and placement use
