Description :

Unique collection of three signed studio pottery artworks by the same ceramic artist, featuring an expressive sculptural bust displayed in a handcrafted wooden shadow box, a textured miniature vase, and a handled spiral-pattern trivet or decorative dish. Each piece bears the artist's signature or maker's mark, highlighting its handcrafted origin. The sculptural head is signed and dated "2-79" (1979), while the vase and dish each feature impressed artist marks. Finished in earthy, organic glazes with strong Mid-Century Modern and studio pottery aesthetics, this coordinated trio makes a striking display for collectors of American studio ceramics and artisan pottery.

Measurements:

  • Bust in shadow box: Approximately 9" H × 7" W × 5" D
  • Vase: Approximately 4" H × 3.5" Diameter
  • Handled dish/trivet: Approximately 7" L × 6" W × 1" H

Condition:
Very good vintage condition. All three pieces are signed by the artist. Light age-related wear consistent with handmade studio pottery. No significant cracks or repairs observed. Shadow box is sturdy with minor wear from age. Please review photos for complete condition details.

Historical Note:
Studio pottery flourished in America during the 1960s–1980s as artists emphasized one-of-a-kind handcrafted ceramics over mass production. Signed pieces such as these are valued for their individuality, organic forms, and artist-made craftsmanship. The dated bust (1979) reflects the era's growing appreciation for sculptural ceramic art.

Est. Value:
150-250
