The companion chair features an ornate carved splat back, scrolling arms, and richly detailed needlepoint upholstery with floral motifs. Together they create a sophisticated traditional seating vignette ideal for an entryway, bedroom, living room, or reading nook.

Historical Note

Thomasville Furniture Industries became one of America's premier furniture manufacturers during the mid-20th century, producing high-quality traditional furniture inspired by English and French antiques. Their Queen Anne collections, especially those with satinwood banding and cabriole legs, remain desirable for their craftsmanship, elegant proportions, and enduring appeal. Needlepoint-upholstered chairs complement these traditional designs and reflect the enduring popularity of English-inspired furnishings.
