Step back into the golden age of entertaining with this spectacular 1970s vintage curved home bar and matching set of six swivel bar stools. Owned by the same family for approximately 50 years, this exceptional set has been beautifully preserved and remains in outstanding original condition. Featuring warm woodgrain laminate, richly tufted vinyl accents, a polished chrome foot rail, and built-in shelving for bottles, glassware, and bar accessories, this impressive bar is the ultimate conversation piece. The six matching upholstered swivel stools complete the look, capturing the iconic lounge aesthetic that defined upscale home entertaining during the 1970s. The bar is designed in two interlocking sections—a straight section and a curved corner section—for easier transport and setup, and is being sold together as one complete set. A similar 1970s vintage bar recently sold in the $3,000+ range. While I was unable to positively identify the original manufacturer, the quality, styling, and construction are consistent with premium American home bar furniture produced during the 1970s. Excellent vintage condition. This set has had only one owner for approximately 50 years and has been exceptionally well cared for. Upholstery remains clean with minimal wear, the woodgrain laminate presents beautifully, and the chrome foot rail shines nicely. Interior shelving is clean and solid. The only notable flaw is one small paint spot on the bar top (shown in photos). Overall, this is an exceptionally preserved and complete 1970s bar set. Home bars became one of the most sought-after luxury features of the 1970s, transforming basements, rec rooms, and entertaining spaces into stylish cocktail lounges. Some items may be located on upper floors, in outbuildings, or areas requiring stairs.
Invoices will be emailed to winning bidders after the auction has fully closed. Full payment is due by 8:00 PM the day following the auction close. If payment is not received prior to the scheduled pickup date and time, items will be forfeited and bidding privileges revoked.
Pickup details will be included on the invoice emailed after the auction closes. Any items not picked up during the scheduled pickup times will be considered abandoned and may be resold or donated. In limited circumstances, and solely at our discretion, an alternate pickup time may be approved for an additional fee.
A 10% Buyer’s Premium and applicable sales tax will be added to the final hammer price at invoicing. Sales tax will be waived for licensed resellers with valid documentation on file.
