Description :
Matching pair of vintage end tables featuring elegant barley twist legs, smoked glass inset tops, and woven cane lower shelves. Crafted in a classic Mediterranean/Spanish Revival style, these substantial tables make excellent sofa end tables or bedside tables. Their timeless design complements traditional, Tudor, rustic, and eclectic interiors while providing both display space and functional storage. A beautiful matching set that's increasingly difficult to find intact. Measurements Approx Condition Historical Note Est Value
Each approximately 24–28 in. square x 22–26 in. tall.
Good vintage condition with light age-related wear consistent with normal use. Both smoked glass tops appear intact with no obvious cracks or chips visible. Wood frames are sturdy, and the cane lower shelves are in good overall condition with minor cosmetic wear. Please review photos for complete condition details.
Barley twist furniture traces its origins to 17th-century Jacobean designs and enjoyed a major revival during the 1960s–1980s. Tables combining carved oak, smoked glass, and cane shelving became especially popular during the Mediterranean and Spanish Revival decorating trends of the 1970s, and matching pairs remain desirable among collectors and interior designers.
