Description :
Lovely antique and vintage clear glass collection featuring an assortment of elegant serving and display pieces. Includes a silver-plated cut crystal claret or wine decanter with stopper, a heavy cut crystal water pitcher, an Imperial Glass "Star & Arch" (Whirling Star/Hobstar) footed compote, a Heisey Orchid crimped footed vase, and a Scandinavian-style controlled bubble bud vase similar to Kosta. An attractive collection of American and European glass spanning the early 1900s through the mid-20th century, perfect for entertaining, decorating, or adding to a pressed and cut glass collection. Approx. Measurements: Condition: Historical Note: Est. Value:
Decanter approximately 12–14" tall. Pitcher 8–10" tall. Compote 5–6" diameter × 4–5" tall. Heisey vase 5–6" tall. Bubble bud vase 6–8" tall.
Very good antique/vintage condition with light age-related wear. Crystal remains bright. One tiny crack / chip on top of small bud vase - see photos. Silver-plated decanter shows expected patina to the mount. Glass may have minor manufacturing imperfections consistent with antique production.
American pressed and cut glass reached its peak between the late Victorian and Depression eras, with makers such as Imperial Glass and Heisey producing elegant tableware prized for both daily use and formal entertaining. Scandinavian art glass makers later introduced controlled-bubble techniques that became iconic in mid-century modern design, making mixed collections like this both decorative and historically representative.
