Description :

Vintage Table Lamp – Smoked Glass Font, Brass & Turned Wood Base | Mid Century Style

Striking vintage table lamp featuring a beautifully balanced mix of materials—smoked glass font, brass detailing, and a turned wood base. The design has strong mid-century influence with a subtle nod to earlier oil lamp styling, especially in the central column and control knob detail.

The smoked glass globe adds depth and warmth, while the wood base brings a grounded, organic feel—making this a versatile accent piece for both traditional and modern interiors.

Includes shade as shown.

Design Notes:

  • Smoked glass reservoir-style center (oil lamp inspired)
  • Brass hardware with decorative side knob detail
  • Turned wood base with warm tone and natural speckling
  • Classic tapered shade

Measurements (Approximate):

  • Height (to top of finial): ~24"–26"
  • Height (to socket): ~18"–20"
  • Shade diameter: ~14"–16"
  • Base diameter: ~6"–7"

Condition:
Good vintage condition with visible wear consistent with age:

  • Shade shows wear, fraying, and discoloration along edges
  • Brass base shows oxidation and surface wear
  • Wood base has minor marks and age-related wear
  • Overall presents well with strong vintage character
  • Working condition not tested (recommend rewiring or inspection for long-term use)

Historical / Style Notes:
This style of lamp draws inspiration from early 20th-century oil lamps, reinterpreted in mid-century and later décor as electric table lighting. The combination of glass font + brass + wood became popular for its traditional-meets-modern aesthetic, often seen in American home décor from the 1960s–1980s.

Estimated Value:

  •  ~$45–$125

Why This Piece Stands Out:

  • Unique mixed-material construction
  • Warm, neutral tones that fit many interiors
  • Classic silhouette with vintage character
  • Great candidate for light restoration or styling upgrade

Additional Notes:

  • Sold as pictured
  • Shade included but shows wear (see photos)
