Description :

1980s Op Art Square Framed Mirror with Brass Inlay — Geometric Design

This striking vintage square mirror features a bold concentric geometric design created through stepped mirror panels accented with slim brass inlay lines. The layered square motif creates a strong Op Art visual effect, reflecting light from multiple angles and adding architectural depth to the piece.

The clean symmetry and brass detailing are characteristic of high-style late 20th-century design, making this mirror equally suited for modern, postmodern, or mid-century inspired interiors. Substantial in scale, it works beautifully as a statement wall mirror in an entryway, living space, or bedroom.

Type: Wall mirror
Material: Mirrored glass with brass inlay
Style: Op Art / Postmodern / 1980s Modern
Shape: Square
Mounting: Wall-mountable

Approximate Measurements:
Overall: approx. 36–40" W × 36–40" H
Depth: approx. 1–1.5"

Measurements are approximate and provided for reference.

Condition:
Good vintage condition overall. Mirror surfaces are clean with light, age-appropriate wear. Brass inlay shows minor patina consistent with age. Small scuffs around inlays but structurly sound. Small mirror crack on one corner (see photos). Please review photos closely for condition details.

Historical Note:
Geometric mirrored designs with brass accents became popular in the late 1970s and 1980s, reflecting the era’s interest in bold forms, symmetry, and reflective materials. These Op Art–inspired mirrors were often used as focal points in high-design interiors.

Value Context:
Comparable vintage Op Art and brass-accented mirrors from the 1980s typically sell in the $1,800–3,000 range depending on size, condition, and design execution.
