Description :
Antique oak washstand featuring a classic early American design with a warm wood grain finish, decorative brass hardware, and built-in towel bar. This charming piece includes a single drawer for storage and a lower cabinet with double doors, offering practical functionality alongside timeless style. Originally used before modern plumbing, washstands like this were a staple in bedrooms and washrooms—holding basins, pitchers, and toiletries. Today, they make beautiful accent pieces for entryways, bathrooms, or as unique storage cabinets. The sturdy oak construction and simple, clean lines give it a versatile look that works well in farmhouse, traditional, or vintage-inspired interiors. Dimensions (Approximate) 30–32” W x 16–18” D x 36” H (surface) / 48–52” H (including towel bar) Condition Estimated Value 200–400 Fun Fact
Good antique condition with wear consistent with age and use. Some surface wear, minor scuffs, and patina throughout. Structurally solid with drawer and cabinet functioning well. See photos for details.
Washstands were essential household furniture in the 1800s and early 1900s—used daily before indoor plumbing became common, making them one of the earliest forms of functional bathroom furniture.
