Description :
Beautiful antique solid wood interior door featuring a distinctive two-tone design with a dark-stained outer frame and warm honey-brown inset wood paneling. The central panel displays the charming hand-painted lettering "The Shoppe" in a rustic, old-fashioned script. The door features traditional recessed panel construction, a decorative clear faceted glass doorknob, and vintage metal lock hardware with an ornate escutcheon plate. The upper and lower sections showcase classic architectural detailing, while the contrasting wood finishes add warmth and character. A wonderful architectural salvage piece for a vintage storefront, home studio, boutique, workshop, pantry, or rustic interior. Could also be repurposed as a decorative wall feature or statement piece. Approx. Measurements Overall Height: 78–84" Overall Width: 28–34" Thickness: 1⅜–1¾" Condition Antique or vintage pre-owned condition with substantial character and visible age-related wear. Dark exterior finish exhibits scratches, scuffs, paint and finish loss, discoloration, and areas of worn wood, particularly along the bottom panels and edges. Inset wood paneling displays natural grain variations, minor surface marks, and signs of previous use. Glass doorknob is present, although the lock mechanism, latch, and hardware have not been tested for functionality. Door has been stored upright and has not been inspected for warping or installation readiness. Buyer is responsible for loading and transportation. Sold as-is, where-is. Historical Note Solid wood paneled doors with glass doorknobs were common in American residential and commercial architecture during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Decorative glass knobs became especially popular from the 1910s through the 1940s and remain desirable features in historic restoration projects. The hand-painted "The Shoppe" lettering adds a nostalgic storefront character reminiscent of traditional neighborhood shops and artisan workshops. The lettering may have been added later in the door's history. Estimated Value 100–250
