Description :

Vintage Blenko Cobalt Blue Art Glass Apples with Italian Alabaster Banana (3-Piece Decorative Lot)

This curated decorative lot features two vintage cobalt blue art glass apples by Blenko Glass Company paired with a carved Italian alabaster stone banana. Together, these pieces create a playful yet elevated sculptural grouping rooted in late 20th-century design and collectible art glass tradition.

The Blenko apples are hand-blown hollow glass forms with clear applied stems and retain their original Blenko foil labels. These apples are part of Blenko’s Fruits & Vegetables series (model #882), a collectible line introduced in the late 1980s and produced in West Virginia, USA. Their saturated cobalt blue color and iconic rounded silhouettes make them highly desirable display objects.

Complementing the glass is a carved alabaster banana, likely of Italian origin. Finished in a translucent yellow stone with natural veining and tonal variation, this piece reflects the whimsical stone fruit carvings popular in European decorative arts during the late 20th century.

Displayed together, the contrast between deep cobalt glass and warm stone creates a striking visual balance ideal for shelves, coffee tables, or curated vignette styling.

Included Pieces:
• Two Blenko cobalt blue art glass apples (model #882 style), hand-blown, USA
• One carved alabaster stone banana, likely Italian

Approximate Measurements:
Blenko apples: approx. 4–5" diameter each
Alabaster banana: approx. 7–8" long
Measurements are approximate and provided for reference.

Condition:
All pieces are in good vintage condition. Blenko apples show minimal surface wear consistent with display and retain original foil labels. The alabaster banana shows natural stone variation and minor surface wear appropriate to age. No major chips or cracks observed. Please review photos closely for full condition details.

Historical Note:
Blenko Glass is one of the most recognized American art glass manufacturers, celebrated for bold color and hand-crafted forms. Their fruit series remains collectible due to its playful design and limited production. Italian carved alabaster stone fruit gained popularity as decorative objects in the late 20th century, blending realism with sculptural charm.
