Description :
Charming vintage decorative set featuring a gold-tone cherub planter/cachepot and a matching pair of Dutch boy and girl wall plaques. The ornate planter is supported by three seated cherubs and features raised floral and scrollwork detailing with a white-painted interior. Accompanying the planter are two hand-painted wall plaques depicting children carrying buckets in a traditional European folk-art style. These pieces work beautifully together as a cottage, Victorian revival, shabby chic, or eclectic vintage display. The planter can be used as a cachepot, floral holder, or decorative centerpiece, while the plaques add nostalgic wall décor appeal. Approximate Measurements Condition Historical Note Estimated Value
Good vintage condition. Planter shows age-related wear to the gold finish, interior paint loss, and surface wear consistent with age and use. Wall plaques retain original color with expected vintage wear and aging. Hangers remain present on the reverse. Please review all photos carefully.
Cherub-themed decorative planters were popular throughout the mid-20th century and were commonly produced in cast chalkware, Syroco, resin, and composite materials. Dutch boy and girl wall plaques were also popular home décor accents during the 1940s–1970s, reflecting the era's interest in European folk-art and cottage-inspired decorating styles.
