Description :

Charming vintage desktop decor grouping featuring a classic Replogle world globe paired with a handcrafted burl wood clock. The globe features colorful political cartography and a traditional black metal meridian stand, while the clock is fashioned from a natural wood slab with bark edge retained, giving it a rustic folk-art character.

The clock appears to have been handmade using a natural wood cross-section with applied metal numerals and decorative hands. Together, these pieces create a unique study, office, library, or cabin display with a blend of educational and rustic Americana appeal.

The globe retains its original stand and rotates smoothly. The clock is marked "Made in India" on the underside and houses a quartz movement.

Approximate Measurements
• Globe: Approximately 12" H x 8" Diameter
• Clock: Approximately 8" W x 8" H x 2" D

Condition
Good vintage condition overall. Globe shows age-related wear, discoloration, and visible seam separation/cracking to the paper map surface as shown. Clock displays natural wood checking, finish wear, and minor surface marks consistent with age and handmade construction. Untested and sold as decorative vintage items.

Historical Note
Replogle has been America's best-known globe maker since the 1930s and remains one of the most collected names in educational cartography. Rustic burl wood clocks became especially popular during the 1960s–1980s as part of the back-to-nature and handcrafted decor movement. Handmade examples using natural wood slabs were often produced by artisans and small workshops, making each piece unique.
