Description :
Elegant vintage blue and white porcelain umbrella stand, also suitable as a large floor vase or decorative vessel. This hand-painted piece features classic Asian-inspired floral and landscape motifs in rich cobalt blue on a white glazed porcelain body with a distinctive open-front cutaway design, making it ideal for umbrellas, canes, walking sticks, or decorative branches. Its unusual form closely resembles late 20th-century Chinese export porcelain umbrella stands, inspired by traditional Qing and Meiji-era blue and white ceramics. The striking cutout front and detailed border pattern make it a beautiful statement piece for entryways, living rooms, or covered patios. Approximately 18–20 in. H x 8–9 in. diameter Good vintage condition with age-related wear. Glaze wear and small areas of paint loss along the upper rim and edges of the cutout opening, along with minor scuffs consistent with age and use. No major cracks observed. Please review photos carefully for complete condition. Blue and white porcelain umbrella stands became popular decorative imports during the late 20th century, drawing inspiration from centuries-old Chinese export porcelain. Their versatile design allowed them to function as umbrella holders, large floor vases, or decorative jardinieres while showcasing traditional cobalt blue hand-painted scenery and floral motifs that remain timeless in traditional and eclectic interiors. 125-225Measurements
