Description :
Large assorted collection of Spode blue and white transferware from the Blue Room Collection, featuring a variety of historic patterns reproduced from early engraved designs. Identifiable examples include the Georgian Series “Girl at Well,” Greek pattern, Collection Traditions “Milk Maid,” Collection “Hot House,” and Italian pattern, along with additional coordinating designs. Lot includes assorted dinner and luncheon plates, bowls, triangular serving dishes, mugs and other tableware as shown. Classic cobalt blue transfer decoration varies from pastoral and architectural scenes to floral, geometric and classical motifs, making this a particularly attractive mixed Spode collection. Approx. Measurements: Pieces range approximately 3–12 in. H/W; mugs approximately 3–4 in. H; plates and serving pieces approximately 6–12 in. diameter/width. Condition: Good vintage condition overall with expected light surface and utensil wear from age and use. Some pieces may exhibit crazing, minor discoloration, glaze irregularities or small imperfections. Please review photographs carefully for patterns, quantity and individual condition. Historical Note: Spode has been closely associated with English blue and white transferware since the development of the technique in the late 18th century. The Blue Room Collection was created to celebrate Spode’s extensive archive, reproducing historic copper-engraved patterns originally introduced during the 19th century. This mixed collection offers an appealing survey of several of the company’s best-known traditional designs. Est. Value: 250–450
