Description :

Large framed shadow-box collection titled “Fishing Lures of the 20th Century,” featuring approximately 10 vintage-style fishing lures, individually mounted and identified with maker, model and date plaques. The display includes representations of classic American fishing tackle from well-known manufacturers including Shakespeare, Creek Chub Bait Co., Heddon & Sons, Pflueger and others.

Visible identified examples include a 1902 Evolution by Shakespeare, 1920 Weller’s Classic Minnow, 1930-era C.C.B. / Creek Chub bait, 1940 Heddon Punkinseed #740, and a 1959 Creek Chub Pikie Minnow #2600. Presented against green felt in a tall wood frame under glass.

Approx. Measurements
Approx. 12–16 in. wide
Approx. 32–40 in. tall

Condition
Good vintage decorative condition. Lures show intentional and/or age-related patina, oxidation and wear. Wood frame has scratches, nicks and general age wear. Glass appears intact. Back retains hanging hardware. Please review photographs for individual lure condition.

Historical Note
The display represents the evolution of American fishing lure design throughout the 20th century, including forms associated with several of the most collectible names in antique fishing tackle. Early wooden plugs and jointed minnows from companies such as Shakespeare, Heddon, Creek Chub and Pflueger are now an established category of fishing and sporting collectibles. This appears to have been assembled as a curated historical display rather than as ten unrelated loose lures.
