Description :

Mixed vintage coin and transit token lot containing approximately 25 assorted pieces from the United States and abroad. Highlights visible in the lot include multiple vintage municipal transit tokens with center cutouts, including heart and letter-shaped examples, plus coins from the Philippines, Japan and other locations. Notable pieces include a Philippine 25 sentimos Juan Luna commemorative coin and assorted older transportation tokens from American transit systems. An interesting mixed group for token, exonumia, transportation history and world coin collectors. Sold together as one lot exactly as pictured.

Approx. Measurements Range: Approximately 15–40 mm diameter; approximately 25 total pieces.

Condition: Mixed circulated vintage condition with substantial variation. Expect surface wear, scratches, oxidation, toning, discoloration, verdigris, dirt and age-related patina. Some pieces show heavier corrosion or wear. Coins and tokens have not been professionally graded or cleaned. Please review all photos for exact contents and condition.

Historical Note: Transit tokens were widely used by American streetcar, bus and subway systems before electronic fare systems became standard. Their distinctive center cutouts—often letters, geometric forms and other shapes—helped distinguish individual transportation systems and denominations. Combined with the international coins in this group, the lot represents an appealing cross-section of 20th-century everyday currency and transportation history.

Est. Value: 35–70
