Description :
Pair of vintage Lady Elgin women’s mechanical wristwatches with classic Art Deco rectangular cases and black cord-style bands with gold-tone fittings. Both dials are marked Elgin and feature period Arabic numeral designs. One watch has an engraved “LES” monogram on the case back. Visible markings include “10K Rolled Gold Plate” and gold-filled/metal bracelet component markings. These are attractive early Lady Elgin cocktail watches with strong period styling. Sold together as a pair. Mechanical operation and service history are unknown; sold as found. Approx. Measurements Range: Cases approximately 20–35 mm long excluding attachments; bands approximately 6–7 inches overall. Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with age-related wear, scratches, toning, finish loss and patina. Dials and crystals show visible aging and wear. Black cord bands show age and use. One case back is monogrammed LES. Mechanical operation has not been verified and watches may require cleaning, servicing or repair. Historical Note: Lady Elgin watches were produced as Elgin’s fashionable women’s timepieces during the early-to-mid 20th century. Rectangular cases, decorative gold-filled housings and cord bracelets were particularly fashionable during the Art Deco and Depression-era period, when wristwatches increasingly became both practical timepieces and jewelry. Est. Value: 100–180
