Limited-edition Fred Machetanz print titled “Many Miles Together,” depicting an Alaskan figure warmly dressed for the northern climate with two sled dogs against a dramatic snow-covered mountain landscape. Pencil signed Fred Machetanz and individually numbered 928/950, with printed artwork signature dated 1982 and © 1983 Fred Machetanz, All Rights Reserved. Published by Mill Pond Press Inc., Venice, Florida and printed in the U.S.A. Includes the original Mill Pond Press protective presentation envelope with gold MPP seal and identification label confirming title, edition number and artist. A desirable complete presentation for collectors of Machetanz, Alaska, sled-dog and Western wildlife art.

Approx Measurements Range: Approximately 20-26 in wide x 18-24 in high

Condition: Very good vintage condition overall. Print appears clean, bright and well preserved with strong original coloration and wide margins. Minor storage or handling wear may be present along margins and edges. Original protective envelope has light age, storage wear, tape and handling marks as photographed. Unframed and retained with its original labeled Mill Pond Press presentation envelope.

Historical Note: Fred Machetanz (1908-2002) became one of Alaska’s most recognized artists, documenting northern landscapes, sled dogs, wildlife and Alaskan life in paintings and limited-edition prints. “Many Miles Together” reflects the close working relationship between people and sled dogs that was fundamental to transportation and survival throughout Alaska. This example is a pencil-signed, numbered 928/950 limited edition published by Mill Pond Press, with the original publisher envelope providing valuable provenance and collector appeal.

Placing a bid constitutes a binding agreement to purchase. If you are the winning bidder, you are required to complete payment and pick up your item(s). Failure to complete a purchase will result in permanent revocation of bidding privileges. Please do not bid unless you intend to follow through with purchase and pickup.

By bidding, you confirm that you are available to retrieve your items during the designated pickup window unless prior shipping arrangements have been approved in advance. Buyers are responsible for bringing any necessary tools, equipment, and assistance required for removal of items. Loading assistance is not available. Some items may be located on upper floors, in outbuildings, or areas requiring stairs.

Invoices will be emailed to winning bidders after the auction has fully closed. Full payment is due by 8:00 PM the day following the auction close. If payment is not received prior to the scheduled pickup date and time, items will be forfeited and bidding privileges revoked.

Pickup details will be included on the invoice emailed after the auction closes. Any items not picked up during the scheduled pickup times will be considered abandoned and may be resold or donated. In limited circumstances, and solely at our discretion, an alternate pickup time may be approved for an additional fee.

A 15% Buyer’s Premium and applicable sales tax will be added to the final hammer price at invoicing. Sales tax will be waived for licensed resellers with valid documentation on file.
