Description :

Vintage Croydon ladies mechanical wristwatch dating approximately to the 1930s–1940s. Features a petite cushion-shaped gold-tone case, aged cream dial with Arabic numerals, ornate hands, and a small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock. Finished with decorative lugs and a narrow brown leather strap with gold-tone fittings and buckle. An attractive early ladies wristwatch with classic Art Deco styling and wonderful period character.

Approx. Measurements Range: Watch case approximately 20–24 mm wide; overall band length approximately 6–7.5".

Condition: Good antique/vintage condition with age-related patina, surface wear, discoloration, scratches, and wear to the case and leather strap. Dial shows visible age and patina consistent with its era. Mechanical running condition and service history are unknown unless otherwise tested. Please review photos closely for condition.

Historical Note: Croydon was among the names used on Swiss-made watches marketed internationally during the early-to-mid 20th century. This petite cushion case, Arabic numeral dial, small seconds register, and decorative lug treatment are characteristic of women’s wristwatch design during the Art Deco era of the 1930s and early 1940s.

Est. Value: 50–90
