Description :
Collection of antique and vintage beaded purses and small accessories featuring several distinctive styles, including an orange and clear glass-beaded purse with ornate embossed metal frame, chain handle and colorful cabochon-style accents; a dark floral micro-beaded drawstring purse; a black leather or leather-like fringed pouch with black beadwork and decorative stone accent; a blue geometric beaded coin purse with leather backing; and a figural beaded ornament or accessory worked in blue, white, black and clear beads. The orange purse is especially decorative, with dense looped bead fringe, elaborate metalwork and a peach-colored fabric interior. The dark drawstring purse displays colorful floral and foliate motifs against a deep plum-black beaded ground. Offered together as an attractive mixed collection for antique purse, beadwork, costume, textile and fashion-accessory collectors. Approx Measurements Range: Approximately 3-9 in wide x 4-12 in long excluding chains and extended fringe; smallest beaded pieces approximately 2-4 in Condition: Fair to good antique/vintage condition with age-related wear throughout. Some pieces show loose, missing or displaced beads, detached or tangled fringe, surface wear, oxidation and patina to metal components, and wear or deterioration to fabric and leather elements. Orange beaded purse interior shows age and use wear but remains present. Dark floral purse shows areas of bead loss and looseness. Black fringed pouch has tangled or detached bead strands. Pieces should be handled carefully due to age and delicate construction. Please review photos closely for condition and completeness. Historical Note: Small glass-beaded purses became fashionable during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, reaching particular popularity during the 1910s-1930s as increasingly elaborate evening accessories complemented Art Nouveau and Art Deco fashions. Many examples combined thousands of tiny glass beads with floral, geometric or exotic-inspired designs, metal frames and dramatic fringe. Surviving purses are collected today for their intricate handwork, period fashion history and decorative craftsmanship, with condition, bead size, imagery, frame quality and completeness strongly influencing value. Est Value: 150-300
