Description :

Vintage Sporting & Game Bird Decor Lot — Hand-Painted Duck Decoys, Game Plates & Glass Beer Mugs

A cohesive vintage lot centered around classic sporting and game bird imagery, ideal for cabin, lodge, bar, or hunting-inspired décor. This grouping brings together hand-carved wood, illustrated glass, and ceramic tableware, all unified by traditional waterfowl and upland game motifs popular in mid-century American decorative arts.

The lot includes a larger hand-painted carved wooden duck decoy with detailed feather carving and naturalistic coloration, accompanied by a smaller carved duck figure in a similar folk style. Also included is a set of vintage illustrated glass beer mugs featuring mallard and game bird scenes, along with a stack of vintage ceramic Lenox plates decorated with flying ducks in motion. Together, the pieces create a layered, display-ready collection that works equally well styled together or separated throughout a space.

This is a mixed-media decorative lot and is being sold as a group.

Dimensions:
Various sizes. Approximate examples include beer mugs measuring about 6"–7" tall, plates approximately 8"–9" in diameter, and carved duck figures ranging from small shelf size to larger tabletop scale. See photos for scale reference.

Condition:
Overall good vintage condition. The wooden duck decoys show light surface wear and patina consistent with age and hand carving. Glass mugs are clear with no major chips noted, showing light wear from use. Plates are clean with minor surface wear and no visible cracks. All wear is age-appropriate and adds to the character of the lot. Please review photos for full condition details.

Historical Notes:
• Hand-carved wooden duck decoys were traditionally used by hunters but became popular decorative objects in the mid-20th century as folk art and sporting décor.
• Illustrated game bird beer mugs were especially popular from the 1950s–1970s, often associated with cabin bars, hunting lodges, and outdoor leisure culture.
• Duck-themed ceramic plates reflect the long tradition of sporting art in American tableware, celebrating waterfowl hunting and wildlife illustration.
• Collectors often mix decoys, glassware, and ceramics to create layered “sportsman vignette” displays, making lots like this especially appealing for interiors.

Estimated Value:
$150–$300 as a grouped decorative lot, depending on market and presentation.
