Description :
Vintage Hollywood Regency Italian Tole Palm Tree Candlestick in Planter Vintage Hollywood Regency style tole palm tree candlestick crafted in painted metal and presented in a square decorative planter. The piece features layered, hand-formed palm fronds in graduated green tones, mounted on a textured trunk that terminates in a shallow cup designed to hold a single taper candle. The square metal planter is finished in a dark painted surface with gilt scalloped trim, raised ball feet, and a decorative lion-head ring motif on the front. The top is filled with white crushed stone, typical of Italian tole candlestick planters of the mid-20th century, providing both stability and visual contrast. Examples of this form were produced in Italy and widely used as accent lighting or decorative objects in Hollywood Regency and neoclassical-inspired interiors. The piece displays beautifully whether used as a candlestick or as a sculptural decorative object. Dimensions: Approx. 9.5" H x 5" W x 5" D Condition: Good vintage condition with light surface wear, minor paint loss, and age-appropriate patina throughout. Some wear to edges, raised details, and gilt accents consistent with decorative use. No major bends, breaks, or repairs observed. Please review photos carefully. Notes: Italian tole palm tree candlesticks became popular in the mid-20th century for their association with glamour, travel, and resort-style living. Palm motifs were especially favored in Hollywood Regency interiors and remain highly collectible today. Estimated Value: $200–$400
